EEIC as a Strategic Partner in Cairo University's CU-AI Nexus 2025 Hackathon

In collaboration between the Egypt Entrepreneurship & Innovation Center (EEIC) and Cairo University, the activities of the Cairo University Hackathon on Artificial Intelligence and Sustainable Development were officially launched.

The hackathon aims to introduce AI technologies and tools to Cairo University students from various academic disciplines, and to demonstrate how these technologies can be leveraged to advance sustainable development and support the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Egypt.

The hackathon is part of the preparatory activities for the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Sustainable Development, which will be hosted by Cairo University in October 2025. The conference seeks to strengthen linkages between academia, scientific research, and industry by encouraging students to develop innovative and practical solutions based on AI technologies.

With the participation of students from 20 faculties at Cairo University, the Cairo University Hackathon on Artificial Intelligence and Sustainable Development is being held through cooperation between EEIC, affiliated with the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development, and the University.

The hackathon focuses on equipping students with knowledge of AI concepts and applications and highlighting their role in promoting sustainable development and achieving Egypt’s SDGs.

As part of the hackathon activities, the Egypt Entrepreneurship & Innovation Center will deliver a session entitled:
“Design Thinking for Creative Solutions”
